Yes! There is no disputing that finally Bollywood has arrived and its stars are shining bright. It doesn’t matter which part of the globe you live in anymore. Bollywood movies and their stars are gaining grounds everywhere.

But unfortunately, the standard of Indian films is generally not very high. Many of them look like repeats. Moreover, they are not prepared with a moral target, but the chief aim of the producers is to earn money by playing to the gallery. The net result is that in the films, at least in most of them, we have obscene and vulgar songs and scenes.

The numbers for the regional films were much lower, but the orientation towards music was similar. In the 1930s, many of the original actors and actresses sang their own songs. Many times, actors were chosen specifically for their singing abilities, such as Bal Gandharva and Baburao Pendharkar.
